Kids Date with Mommy - Crown Center

The kiddos were long overdue for a date with Mommy, so I took them down to Crown Center for dinner at Fritz's (the train restaurant), to the Lego exhibit and then to the Crayola Store. Fritz's was such a hit! Lauren spent the first 20 minutes screeching with excitement as the train passed by our booth and I thought both kids were going to explode when a second drain delivered our food to our table. :) It was awesome seeing their excitement. Unfortunately, the Lego exhibit did not garner the same reaction but I guess I made up for it at the Crayola Store where they colored, played and shopped.

4th of July

The 4th was a blast!! We had our annual get-together with some neighbors and friends. The food was good, the company was great and the fireworks...oh boy!!! We had enough to keep us going for about 5 hours, almost non-stop. Vince was really into the poppers and sparklers but Lauren, on the other hand, was scared to death of anything that made noise. I spent a lot of the evening with the little darling either on my hip or in my lap. Vincent spent a lot of time playing with his little girlfriends and being Daddy's big helper.
